ABOUT THE GAME
Neuralnx — The Dark Souls of Creature Collection
I made Neuralnx because creature collection games stopped challenging me. After countless hours with Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, I couldn't go back to monster tamers where battles felt rigged in the player's favor — six fully leveled team members against an NPC's two underleveled creatures. Where's the fight in that?

So over a year ago, I started building the game I actually wanted to play: a monster tamer where pure strategy is your only weapon, difficulty is real, and every encounter demands your full attention.
I believe I'm not alone in wanting that. Neuralnx is for every player who has outgrown easy.
CORE PHILOSOPHY
- 100% Deterministic – Zero RNG: No critical hits, no accuracy rolls, and no random damage ranges.
- Complete Tactical Transparency: Full information on enemy teams. Abilities, held items, moves, and stats are all visible mid-battle.
- Competitive-Grade AI: Face Alphalnx, a ruthless opponent driven by multi-turn lookahead and complex battle simulations.

CREATURES
Based on Real-World Wildlife
Every creature in the game (known as a Lnx) is uniquely designed based on real-world wildlife and features locally inspired naming.

THE ALPHALNX ENGINE
The Most Advanced Battle AI
Alphalnx is a multi-pillar AI that evaluates attack sequences, switches, sacrifices, and setup moves through multi-turn lookahead.

Battle Move Simulations
Instead of relying on random weights or predetermined if-else logic, Alphalnx makes decisions by running hundreds of simulations through the actual battle engine to forecast the best possible outcomes.
Alphalnx has zero awareness of game mechanics; it just uses the battle engine to find win paths. Most of the effort used in development was focused on improving Alphalnx, and it was inspired by the success of AlphaGo against the South Korean Go world champion Lee Sedol.

SOULSLIKE IDENTITY
Punishing but Fair Difficulty
Calling Neuralnx the "Dark Souls of creature-collection games" is an understatement. This is a grueling, battle-oriented experience. It plays closer to Sekiro—forcing you to overcome challenges using skill and strategy rather than over-leveling or overwhelming the enemy with sheer numbers.

Bonfire Checkpoints
Progression is hard-earned. You can only save your game at designated bonfires. If your entire team faints, you will awaken at the last bonfire you rested at.

Triumph Through Trial and Error
Failing, adapting, and trying again is central to the experience. Victory requires learning the AI's patterns and perfecting your execution.

Strict "Set" Battle Style
Just as Alphalnx isn't warned about your next move, you don't get free information or a free switch-in when an enemy is defeated. Battles flow seamlessly.

No Mid-Battle Consumables
Neither the player nor Alphalnx can use healing items or other consumables as a move option in battle — they are completely removed from the game. Held items, however, are fully allowed.

Beautiful game. Good job.
Thanks!
The game was actually quite easy, After getting Mankei the difficulty fell off by a lot. there are a few typos for some characters, and some effects like poison or an item like the Mastery charm have weird audio.
Alloy blade and Spectral Orb are quite OP imo.
Glad I was able to play this before the big court case!
All in all I give it an 8 out of 10.
Amazing! I'm very impressed! I assume you defeated both Odin and Dracula?
Hello, genuine question.
I just beat goldilocks but it seems every single battle after that i just simply cannot win whatsoever, i am always outnumbered against my 2 other opponents (siegfried and gandalf). One (Siegfried) has a animal with water absorb and super effective move and always fake out first turn, the other (gandalf) just counter veils me? How am i actually supposed to beat this game with 1 animal man what is this ragebait "dark souls" puzzle game pokemon. I would love to progress and see the rest of your game but I cannot even progress after the first battle.
Ohh... thanks a lot! My first real player! hahah... You are in for a treat! First tip is - do not fight NPC that are higher level than you.. that means only Nicolas Flamel is available to you. If you were able to beat Goldilocks, it means you know how to use items and did that without a tutorial or being told to. For Nicolas Flamel, you have to learn how to use SkillBooks and teach your Lnx the move Protect. Every puzzle/NPC in my game involves "a lesson" - first enemy: learn how to use items, second enemy: learn how to train moves/Skillbooks, third enemy: learn about xyz.. and so on! Let me know if you are still stuck! It will not be satisfying if I just give you the solution to the puzzle. (Every NPC is a puzzle basically!)
